Good food, grown close to home.

Loco Acres Farm is a working farm with a shop out front. What you find on the shelves depends on the season and the weather, and that is exactly how we like it. Come by, say hello, and see what the land gave us this week.

What we offer

From our fields to your table

The shop changes with the calendar. Spring brings the first greens, summer is heavy with produce, and autumn is when the jars and stores fill up. Here is the shape of what we keep on hand.

Seasonal produce

Whatever is ripe is what is on the table. We pick in the morning and put it out the same day, so the vegetables you take home still remember the field. Expect variety through the year rather than the same shelf every week.

Preserves & pantry

When the harvest outruns the table, we put it up in jars. Jams, pickles, and pantry staples carry the season forward into the colder months, so there is something worth opening even when the fields rest.

Meat & counter goods

Our counter is stocked with fresh cuts and everyday goods, served the old way — a real person behind the counter who can answer questions and wrap things up properly. Ask what is best this week and we will tell you straight.

Our story

A farm first, a shop second

We did not set out to run a store. We set out to farm, and the shop grew out of that — a place to put what we raised and let neighbours take it home. The jars on the shelf and the produce in the bins all start the same way: soil, seed, weather, and patience.

Some seasons are generous and some are lean. We think it is better to tell you that honestly than to pretend the shelves always look the same. When you shop here, you are eating along with the farm, week by week.

Real people, real answers

When you stop in, you talk to the folks who do the work. If you want to know how something was grown, when it was picked, or what to do with a cut you have never cooked, just ask. We would rather have the conversation than make the sale.

That is the part of a farm shop you cannot get from a big store. The person handing you your bag knows exactly where everything in it came from, because they were there when it happened.

How we work

The way things get done here

No mystery to it. Farming is a rhythm, and the shop follows along. Here is how a head of lettuce or a jar of jam makes its way to you.

  1. 1

    Grow

We plant with the season, tend the fields, and let the weather have its say. Good food starts long before harvest day.

  2. 2

    Harvest

When something is ready, we pick it. Not before. Ripeness decides the schedule around here, not the other way round.

  3. 3

    Stock

Produce goes straight to the shop floor, and the surplus goes into jars and stores so nothing good goes to waste.

  4. 4

    Share

You come by, we talk, and the food goes home with you. That last step is the whole point of the other three.
